This year marked the second year for the Friends in Low
Places
Car and
Truck Show and we were more than happy to attend the show!
Its obvious that Tara and Harvey with SRM Paintwerks and KIK
Clothing really know how to put on a Great Custom Car and Truck show!
This show featured over a hundred
vehicles that were customized from
mild to wild and vendors were on location. DYNO ON THE GO, a
mobile dyno company, brought their mobile dyno trailer out to the show.
This mobile dynometer allowed paricipants run their vehicle on
the dyno to see how much horsepower their car/truck "really"
had. Now thats entertainment! Some of the Vendors
included KIK clothing, Illusive Fabrication, SRM, and afood vendor that
had its own custom creation of fried potato chips. The show
also featured a Stunt Bike demonstration and was very exciting to watch
(see video below).
Although it was blazing hot on top of
the black asphault show area,
there was a relieving breeze that blew by to help us stay a little
cooler under our EZ-UP canopy tent. Car clubs from all over,
including Pebble Pushers, Severed Ties, Outkast, and many others, were
all at the Friends in Low Places Car Show. We all had our
vehicles on display and were hoping for an award for our creations.
The awards were broken into 50 "Top 50" awards, as well as
several "Best Of" awards such as Best Car, Best Truck, Best
Interior, Best Engine, etc. I took home one of the Top 50
awards for my custom 96 Impala SS.
Friends in Low Places car and truck
show said that they would return in
2014 for another outstanding show. We will definitely be
there too!
