We attended Layd Out At The Park for the first time this year and now we have a good understanding of what all the hype was about.  This is an AWESOME Show and we highly recommend you attend next year's show.  Layd Out was held in Morristown, TN at  the Cherokee Park.  The park had paved paths and more than enough parking in the grass to hold over 700 vehicles!  The Tennessee mountain air was clean and the weather was perfect.

The vehicles at this show, both cars and trucks were nothing less than awesome!  People travel from all over to attend one of the biggest custom car & truck shows on the Eastern side of the country.  One guest came as far away as Japan!  He was the painter of the Mazda truck that took the Best of Show Paint award.

We hauled the Impala up there from Charlotte, NC for about a 4 hour trip trough the winding roads of Interstate 40 West and landed at one of the host hotels.  At the hotel, we gathered to meet up with other members in our car club, Pebble Pushers, as well as several people from out of state.  Part of the "show experience" is being at a hotel with a bunch of your club buddies and other friends that you've met at other shows.  Its always fun to catch up and talk about project vehicles underway at the shop or house.  Down the road a bit, the car and truck Club, Freaks of Nature, had a hotel of their own and proceeded to have the parking lot full of their members and new prospects that had a great time seeing each other.  Freaks of Nature took the Club Participation award at the show for the amount of vehicles they had brought with them witch was around a hundred!
